Work History

Oxfam MDM >Design and Development - Christmas and all Purpose Cards AW10 Oxfam was looking for something different, a new market driven range of Christmas and all purpose cards. We designed a collection of cards that would appeal to their customer and went out to Nepal to produce the first samples and ensure the quality for production. Love That Stuff >Design and Development - Vegetable Baby Hats AW10 Love That Stuff had an idea to develop baby hats that look like vegetables. We brought their idea to life by developing a series of concepts that parents would not be able to resist. In Nepal we helped to translate these cotton hat designs into feasible samples. Design and Development - Filigree Hart. Based on an existing filigree sphere pendant in the Love That Stuff assortment we helped them to develop a filigree hart pendant. By sampling different possibilities we developed two different options for this jewel. Oxfam GB >Design- Hub Pack SS09 Oxfam GB wanted to create a leaflet that would appeal to volunteers and engage them to come and help out in the hub. We brainstormed different solutions and developed the design. Elizium >Design, Development and Sourcing- AW09 Handbag Collection. For the AW09 Collection, Elizium was on the lookout for two collections of Fair Trade Leather handbags. We were asked to be in charge of the entire design process from initial trend research through to design, initial sampling in the UK, sampling out in Nepal , sourcing of all materials, trims and hardware, and quality control before production. Consultancy – Trend Colours Jewellery. For the jewellery collection of SS09 Elizium was looking for the new colour trends. We set up a small presentation she could use to make her buying decisions. Amoosi. >Design - AW08 Handbag Collection. Following their SS08 range of unique handbags made from recycled leather jackets, Amoosi was trying to find a way to slightly standardise their leather bags without losing the individual character. We designed a capsule collection for them that would meet their market, buyer and production requirements. >Design - SS09 Handbag Collection. For SS09 Amoosi asked us to revisit the design of the previous year and revamp the Honeycomb Holdall so it could run on for several years and become an Amoosi Classic. Sourcing - Fair Trade Hardware in Nepal for the AW09 Collection. Facing the challenge of finding consistent recycled hardware Amoosi decided to explore the possibility of sourcing Fair Trade hardware. We sampled several designs for them in Nepal Biome Lifestyle. >Design and Sourcing- AW08 Christmas Collection. Always thriving to compose a selection of unique environmentally friendly Christmas designs Biome Lifestyle requested us to develop a series of original advent calendars, Christmas wreaths and Christmas crackers. We developed a whole range of innovative ideas and presented them including the estimated cost and resources. Hatti Trading >Design, Development and Sourcing – SS08 Handbag Collection. >Design, Development and Sourcing – SS08 Jewellery Collection. This is how it all began. To improve their sales by making their range more attractive to their target market and ensuring good quality, Hatti Trading decided to send two volunteers out to develop their ss08 collection and teach pattern drawing and construction to their producers. That was us! Sam Ubhi >Sourcing-Fair Trade silver and horn jewellery producer. On a quest for Fair Trade silver and horn jewellery producers, who can deliver optimum quality, Sam Ubhi asked us to sample and source several pieces of pendants and earrings from Fair Trade Group Nepal. Basingstoke. > Awareness The teachers of the Basingstoke College of Technology were looking for different ways to inspire their students and excite them about the idea of eco, Fair Trade and ethical design. We helped them outline a project for the 1st and 2nd year students and participated in key tutorials and final presentations.
