Art Director and Designer - Food, Management magazine
I was responsible for the monthly production of the magazine, from art direction 
and page layout to pre-flighting and processing files for printing. I worked closely with editors, photographers, illustrators and the printer to produce one of the leading magazines in the non-commercial food management industry. I worked part time 
as a contractor on location in the Cleveland office 2-3 weeks per month.

Designed promotional materials, media kits, logos, stationery, ads, brochures,

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE


2007 to Current: MetroHealth Medical Center Activity Center, The Art Studio: I assist the art therapist, Kimberly Gazella, MAT, in facilitating a weekly open studio afternoon session for patients on the rehab floors. This includes going from room to room encouraging patients to come to the studio to participate, transporting patients, setting up materials, explaining projects, helping patients participate to the best of their abilities so that they experience success at their endeavors. I love this work and am grateful for the opportunity to work with people in a creative and healing environment. 


2009 (term expires 2011): Secretary, Board of Trustees, Renaissance Spiritual Community.

2008 Assistant, Creative Life Course, Hiram College Remote Field Station, Upper Peninsula, MI. 
Assisted course instructors and student participants during this week long summer psychology class on emotional and psychological wellness, Adlerian psychology and environmental ecology.


1998 and 2001 Assistant Instructor: Templum House Ceramic Tile Mural Group projects, 
Marv Smith Studio. Assisted artist Marv Smith in teaching adults and children (ages 4-16) the 
fundamentals of creating and decorating a hand made ceramic tile mural. Also assisted in installation of the completed mural at Templum House, a safe house for victims of domestic violence.
