Rafiq Elmansy (http://www.rafiqelmansy.com) is a graphic designer and book author in the field of design, with more than 12 years of experience in graphic design and a background in traditional arts and sculpture. He participated in many exhibitions in Egypt in the period between 1997 and 1999. Also, he has experience in Arabic calligraphy scripts and artwork. Currently, his artwork merges traditional and digital arts; you can find samples of his digital painting on the Behance network (http://www.behance.net/rafiqelmansy).

His experience in graphic design includes working on different design projects for clients around the world. He currently owns his personal design studio, Pixel Consultations (http://www.pixelconsultations.com). Rafiq is also an author in the field of graphic design; he writes articles and books for various magazines and websites. Rafiq has the following books:

- Photoshop 3D for Animators, published by FocalPress, November 18th, 2010.
- Quick Guide to Flash Catalyst, published by O’Reilly Media, August 18th, 2011.

Rafiq is writing articles for many websites, such as Adobe.com, Adobe Edge magazine and his own online design magazine, Graphic Mania (http://www.graphicmania.net/). Rafiq is Friend of Icograda (International Council of Graphic Design Associations) and jury board member in the ADAA (Adobe Design Achievements Award) in the field of Illustrations and Annual Design Award.

He is also an official Adobe Community Professional and the founder of the first Adobe user group in the Middle East, the Adobe User Group in Egypt (AGUE). Also, he participates in the Adobe prerelease program as a tester and consultant for upcoming Adobe design products. He is providing support for designers around the world as a trainer, speaker and consultant in the field of design.
