I aim to obtain a position in the design field that emphasizes my skills as an interior designer, and allows me to grow professionally. Apnea Care Inc., is a Joint Commission accredited DME company that supplies Oxygen, Nebulizers and PAP devices. I handle insurance and authorizations on a daily basis. I problem solve both clinical and billing questions and handle billing paperwork. I have an in depth understanding of respiratory DME and the billing process. I follow TJC, Medicare standards and HIPAA regulations on a daily basis. I also maintain relationships with patients, insurance representatives, and medical professionals and their staff.
As of November 2012, I am Customer Service Manager for our six Buffalo locations. I handle a customer service staff to maintain organization and great service throughout our company. As Quality Assurance Manager, I work under the Veteran Affairs and Joint Commission standards to maintain compliance and satisfaction within reporting to our Veteran Oxygen patients.
Blue Sky Design Supply focuses on creating a sustainable environment. I have utilized my time as an intern to assist in branding, signage, social media, store design, assisting customers, and learning more about an eco-friendly products. I also worked on many individual projects to serve as examples to the consumers.
Beginning as summer intern, I became a Production and Stage Design Assistant to the director. As the new theatre season began, I was offered the opportunity to also become the Box Office Manager. As manager, I was in charge of all ticket sales, comps, group sales, customer service and resolutions. I also was acting House Manager for several productions.
I was a Chiropractic Assistant at Munroe Chiropractic in Buffalo, NY. I transcribed notes for the doctor, developed x-rays, handled insurance authorizations and referrals and balanced money. I developed a large understanding of insurance companies and their policies and followed HIPAA regulations.
