For over 10 years I've been creating digital experiences for brands in the financial services and travel categories, first as a UX design lead and now as the leader of digital teams. I love learning new businesses and how to connect with their customers by building useful, usable, and enjoyable experiences in online advertising, web, social, and mobile. Currently I do all things digital marketing in the 18th century for Colonial Williamsburg. I have hands-on experience in user-centered design, digital strategy, online advertising, social media marketing, creative direction, and design and project management.

EXPERIENCE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Colonial Williamsburg: Director, Digital Guest Experience, September 2011 – Present Developed an integrated digital and social marketing strategy and managed the internal staff and agency partners responsible for implementing campaigns. Supervised an internal digital creative team responsible for owned web and social channels. Collaborated with marketing managers supporting internal divisions and business lines. Ensured consistent application and evolution of Colonial Williamsburg brand standards in digital. Worked closely with research and analytics manager to develop and understand customer segments including demographics, psychographics, and geographics. - Creative directed and project managed launch of an all-new visitation-focused website for ColonialWilliamsburg.com, including new branding, new content management system and events database. - Led project team through all phases of project including business architecture, information architecture, user experience design, development, and analytics and measurement. - Grew site visits by 100%, online purchases by 8-10% and online revenue 30% in just the first phase Colonial Williamsburg: Manager, Interaction & Engagement, March 2008 – September 2011 Responsible for developing and improving the Foundation's online marketing practice, creating and maintaining content for Hospitality website, ColonialWilliamsburgResort.com, and email strategy, branding, and execution. - Developed a 3-year digital strategy designed to increase revenue, improve customer experience, and overall guest satisfaction through the web channel. - Successfully developed a strategy for a new web and systems architecture to support marketing and business goals. Secured buy-in from all levels of the Foundation, the board of trustees, and obtained $2 million in capital toward the project. - Developed an Information Technology partnership to build support for an integrated systems architecture that will improve the customer experience over the next 5 years. Colonial Williamsburg: Manager, Interactive Media, March 2008 – June 2009 Responsible for developing and improving the Foundation's online marketing practice, creating and maintaining content for Hospitality website, ColonialWilliamsburgResort.com, and email strategy, branding, and execution. Vanguard: Senior Interactive Designer, January 2006 – March 2008 Supervised user experience teams through all steps of the user-centered design process. Established, supervised, and trained a team of 3 designers producing audio, video, and interactive content to support marketing campaigns on Vanguard.com and third party sites. - Spearheaded initiative to redesign news center on Vanguard.com using Rich Internet Application technology. Presented to highest levels of management, secured $750,000 in funding. - Extended Vanguard brand to motion graphics and video in order to ensure a strong “One Vanguard” identity, streamline processes, and reduce costs in Rich Media
