top draft of :shark-watch - a quick draft of the "shark" -watch done in Vellum 3-D. I wanted to the watch to have a "dangerous" feel to it. I took the idea of the two protruding "humps" from the manta rays anatomy.
Cd tree - A project using articulating, collapsing and nesting to be used in an actual product. I chose to use these articulations in a CD storage system. When fully extended, the "tree'' made up of CD's, one on top of another; would be able to spin freely for easier choosing. When fully collapsed, the CD's would stack on top of one another to save space.
Trash-can vac ( yellow) - Another design using the idea as a vacuum that attaches to a standard 32 gal. plastic trash-can.
Trash-can vac/workings - A brief, rough sketch on how the vacuum would work.
Trash-can vac inner workings ( yellow) - This is the yellow trash-can vacuum with a cutaway to show how, the vacuum motor and wiring would be placed in the lid. The project parameters were to see just how the motor and wiring would possibly work in such a tight area. Though not throughly trained in engineering classes, the students were asked to give a brief cut-a-away drawing to show engineering problems of some designs made in the class.
