iNFUSION - iNFUSION – to cause to penetrate; instill
In today’s globalized societies, millions of nested communities can be found within a large community. The diagram iNFLUX was created to mark the surface, demarcating Leeds communities, as well as identify the direction in which Leeds is moving. With more people moving to the city, the site was chosen for its proximity to the train station, a physical ‘meeting point’ of travelers and its interstitial location.
EXPAND - YAF Denver Merit Award - EXPAND is a system defined by the proportions of an individual and their bike. Notions of efficiency and economy led to a modular, re-configurable system that has the versatility to support a wide variety of uses. For easy site adaptation a 'kit of parts' approach was devised. The homogeneity of the unit provides one continuous language, one wrapper, and when combined linearly, forms the shelter. Supergraphics reading 'bike' in various languages will be painted on the wood slats.
