Education Loughborough University Oct.2010 – Oct.2011 Studied Industrial Design for one year and graduated with a distinction in Master of Science with average in 71%. Elements of the course covered included: Design Research Methods, Inclusive Design, Design Communication, A-Class Surface Modelling with Pro/Engineer, Design Practice; Major Design Project and Feasibility Study in the design of reading assistant device for visually impaired. University of Nottingham Sept.2007 – July.2010 Studied BEng Product Design and manufacture for three years and graduated with a 2:1 Degree class. Elements of the course covered included: eight design modules, Design for Manufacture, Design for Assembly, Manufacture Capability, Physical Ergonomic, Operation management, solid mechanics; marketing. Malvern College Sept.2005 – July.2007 Completed three A-Levels, with B in both Fine Art (Sculpture) and Mathematics. International College Sherborne School Sept.2004 – Jun.2005 Completed seven GCSEs in one Year, with A* in Chinese, A in Mathematics and Art & Design, B in Biology and Physics and C in Chemistry. Skills Able to quickly and efficiently deliver high quality sketch at the early stage of the design. Able to use Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Sketchbook Pro to produce high quality 2D digital sketches and rending. Able to use Adobe Flash to produce short animation for the presentation of designs. I have gained many valuable experiences and knowledge in regards to the manufacturing processes for street lamps, which include rapid pressure die casting, metal fabrication and plastic injection moulding. Happy Culture Sep.2011 – Nov.2011 Design intern – participated within many high profile cases which required me to meet tight deadlines. Works involved background stages design and generate graphic designs for large commercial events and exhibitions as well as some product design for the extension client’s Visual Identity. Loughborough University Oct.2010 – Sept.2011 Joined the Public Relations Department of Chinese Student and Scholars Association and was mainly responsible for the promotion of Chinese culture while looking for sponsors and raise funds to support the daily operation of the association. During the period I had been employed, the total amount of £7,200 was collected from range of companies and organizations in Loughborough and cross the country. In addition, I also edited and designed the 2011/2012 Fresher’s Guide book. It efficiently functionalized as a catalogue, which provides helpful information covering aspects of students’ concerns.
