PBM is the southeast's leading printer, exceeding $156 million of sales in 2000 with a global client base and 1200 employees. I have worked in and overseen all PBM prepress positions, wherever needed. I left on good terms to start my own business.

Second Shift Prepress Supervisor - May 2000 to Nov 2000
All prepress workflow came through me, 40-60 jobs on a daily basis. Responsible for keeping department on schedule and presses up and running. Worked as team leader for 2nd shift prepress department, as well as a liaison between CSRs, clients, employees, other departments, sister companies, vendors and other outside agencies. Assisted with
maintaining network in a mac and pc environment, making sure equipment was maintained, as well as troubleshooting and quality control.

Second Shift Scanning/Prepress Dept - Feb 1995 to April 2000
Responsibilities include: Operating a high end Linotype-Hell 3900 drum scanner and various flatbed scanners to produce quality color that match and/or improve upon customer originals, outputting color proofs, making color corrections, in many cases extensive photoshop retouching and manipulation was necessary. Responsible for the conversion of customer files to files useable for print or web applications. I have also worked as a 4/c stripper when needed.

Additional Professional Skills

Photography: I offer full studio or on location services and have extensive experience in portrait, commercial, real estate, food service and fine art photography. My photographs have won many awards, appeared in galleries, shows, private collections, as well as in thousands of publications. I have been shooting entirely high resolution digital since 2004.


Stock photography: I have amassed a library of over 30,000 images, soon to be available via website for online orders. Most images were taken in North Carolina, however many are from my travels along the east coast from Florida to Maine. Subject matter includes: scenic, landmark, lifestyle, and tourism based imagery.


Product Development: In 2004 I researched and developed a line of NC postcards using my own photographs. Created distribution channels and vendor relations for line that is now featured in well over 100 stores throughout NC, including Hallmark Stores, The Pantry, Han-Dee Hugos as well as many other stores, museums and gift shops throughout the state of NC. It is self-maintained and serves as residual income.


Illustration: Computer and fine art airbrush illustration.


Design: For conventional print, retail & trade show displays, as well as web design.


Film Maker/Videographer: Produce, write and direct independent films and
corporate videos. In my free time I have been working on a very personal project, a documentary based on life and the changes occurring in the rural farm communities of NC, "Deep Fried, A Perspective of the South."

Previous corporate videos: "The MalPractice Zone," and " I Married An Attorney." Both were used as humorous, educational aids to attorneys throughout the state of NC.
