Product design is a brand new service offered by Red Power, I was hired to build the department together with the senior management team. I am in charge of the following aspects:
Leading a team of 3 designers and 1 account executive to work on product design projects for manufacturers in tableware and sanitary ware industry across the country.
Establishing design brief and criteria together with client.
Leading brainstorming and generating design concepts.
Designed 6 collections of bathroom products and 3 of them are on the market, generating impressive sales revenue and attracting media attention.
Planning and executing market and material research.
Project management.
Planning product design strategy together with brand design department.
Presentation to client’s CEO and senior management team.
Travelling to clients' production facilities and evaluating the feasibility of production.
Coordinating between manufacturers and overseas designers.
