Overview for Pea and Carrot - This app was developed as a companion to my thesis, Healthy Eating through Early Education. As students increase their use of technology, and playing off the success of Angry Birds, this mobile game’s goal is to spotlight healthy food and make junk food look bad. Users land first at the home page and can go in four directions. Players can play by themselves, others or see badges earned or character bios. Visit www.morganannephillips.com/PeaCarrot to see it.
Final Design: Individual Mode - Higher levels must be unlocked before new ones can be played. Before a level starts, an intro video gives the storyline. As more levels are unlocked, players gain new healthy food friends along the way.
Final Design - Players don't have to play alone. They can invite their friends or choose from an established list. Then they can play together or against each other.
Final Design: Other Screens - Players can see what badges are left to unlock and what they've earned. Players can find character bios, which has the educational element to it.
