Telescopic Side Rail (TSR) Crib
After the ban of drop-sides in 09', every nursery furniture manufacturer has been working on new types of moveable gate designs which would mimic the functionality of the drop-side but comply with current regulations. A derivation of the telescopic design as seen here was the first to do so. I came up with the concept, engineered it, fabricated several functional prototypes, and followed the unit through testing.
