Rapid Shelterings

Also made for a class, this project was inspired by the creation and widespread use of COVID19 food tents. Rapid Shelterings is a poetic banner placed on a COVID19 food tent in downtown Ann Arbor. During the pandemic dozens of rapid shelters sprang up for the sole purpose of continuing business. These rapid shelters point out the lack of support offered to the unhoused communities in our own neighborhood, and are prime example of capitalist practices and misuse of resources that could be redirected for better use in the community. This installation was adapted into a poster, which was on display in the Respond Resist Rethink: A Student Poster and Video Exhibition 2021 at the Stamps Gallery.
