Grange

Invited by the organizers of Celtic fringe fringe festival 2013 to propose an inspiring concept design for an international Armada center in grange, co.sligo. the existing building to be re-imagined is grange court house, a protected structure built in c. 1891, which is a detached single-story limestone court house. Due to the limited size of the building, not many functions can take place in it. There will be a small café in the courthouse serving hot drinks for those cold winter days, after surfing on the nearby beach. The café will also serve cold drinks for the nice hot sunny days. In the afternoon the display lights will be dimmed down to change the atmosphere for any live bands or theatrical plays, who might want to perform in Grange. The seating area will also act as a reflecting space for anyone who just needs a break from it all or just to zone out while enjoying the view of Benbulben through the strips of glass running across the roof.
