Human Powered Generator - A collaborative project with MIT engineers. Utilizing existing infrastructure of a bicycle the team designed a portable self adjusting stand capable of charging a twelve volt battery.
Human Powered Generator - Simple design dimensions of only two lengths allow the generator stand to be constructed locally by towns people. Only the generator and tire attachments were supplied for construction.
CAD Connection - The inside of the grey form had six contracting spiraling tracks. as you squeeze the two black forms together the inner grey form would be forced to spin compressing the mechanics till they bottom out and click into a vertical track. As you release the compressive force the form expands again and starts the process again.
Rapid prototyping
Steel Sphere - After drilling three holes and removing three quarters of a sphere from a two inch steel rod stock, a four point jig had to be devised to hold the sphere to remove the final length of metal. Excessive thought for a simple object, but a fun challenge.
Retractable Bracelet - I was intrigued by the dual function of the mechanism holding the bracelet open or shut

Maxim Ropes Logo - Originally a sailing ropes company New England Ropes desired an appropriate logo for their climbing affiliate MAXIM ropes. Focusing on the X of the brand name I looked to the product for inspiration.
