Pineapple Dress SU'04 - This dress was featured on the cover of the New York Times Sunday Styles Section- Prints That Pop. Hand painted in gouache, and reproduced exactly from the original artwork. I used some J.Crew motifs for that season, as well as Hawaiian flora for inspiration.
Rousseau Floral SU'06 - All hand painted in gouache and outlined in black pen, I used flowers from my garden for inspiration. One company liked it so much, they knocked it off last summer!
Malibu Scenic SU'08 - This is one of a pair of surf-themed mini skirts that came out in Summer 08. I really had fun with this one, doing all the original art with Sharpie Magic Markers. The mill did a good job in re-creating the sketchy look.

Soiree Ball Skirt HO'07 - For this Holiday skirt, the designer wanted to use Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball as inspiration. I used reference from many sources, and did final drawings with fat black magic markers. All the artwork had to be adjusted to the curve of the pattern, and the scene continues on the back. This print was also used for a scarf, and sweaters for Womens and Girls.

Horse and Hounds FA'07 - I drew this Horse and Hounds print in technical pen, and scanned and recolored it on the computer. I had to turn all the elements so they would follow the shape of the skirt, and the bridle border is engineered to the curve of the hem. The same print was used for a sweater for both Womens and Girls.
Artists Studio Skirt - Detail of the Studio Skirt. This shows the great job the mill did of capturing the texture of the oil crayon.
Artist Studio Skirt - Front view of the studio skirt. This was fun to draw, but difficult technically. All the drawings had to be turned to remain perpendicular to the hem, and the paint splatters were created separately and added into the artwork.
Artists Studio Skirt, back view - The back of the skirt. This is printed on silk/wool twill, a lovely fabric.
Waikiki Scenic Skirt - Front and back views of my Waikiki Scenic- concept was my idea, since I'm a huge Waikiki fan! Drawn in magic markers, I like how the mill got the effect.
Girl's Sandcastle sweater - Handpainted from Hawaiian vacation photos, you can see Diamond Head in the background. The back has a Lanikai beach scene with dolphins.
Library Toile print detail - A variety of hand-drawn library themes, this also appeared as a full-colored print dress, and matching umbrella. Drawn in ink, and shaded by computer.
Postcard sweater detail - "Post cards" hand drawn and colored by computer, layered in a repeat print. Also was used for pajamas.
