The Kitchen Cabinet - The project was to take an everyday product and make improvements. I took a standard kitchen cabinet and made changes to the door knobs, height and drawers to better assist someone with limited physical mobility. I created an “open†door knob, large enough to aid someone with the inability to grasp objects due to arthritis or another disorder. The height changes are to accommodate either a wheelchair user or someone standing enabling both to work with a surface for cutting or preparing food.
