Group Housing
This slum redevelopment project transforms a 6.6-hectare informal settlement into an inclusive, sustainable group housing community. Designed around G+2 residential blocks, the layout prioritises shared courtyards to foster interaction and enhance livability. Units are offered in 25 and 40 sq m typologies, each planned for efficiency, comfort, and natural light. Passive design strategies ensure ventilation and reduce energy demand. Infrastructure includes rooftop solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and internal roads. Community spaces like childcare centres and gardens enrich the social fabric. Built using cost-effective, locally sourced materials and involving residents in planning, the project promotes long-term resilience and dignity in housing. The design balances affordability, sustainability, and social well-being.
