In order to create a successful iron in 3D, sketching was needed to understand the form, this ranged from exploded views to general form development.
Further sketching demonstrating multiple different irons, we where encouraged to design our own irons, I did this to help understand what an iron is.
Final CAD render, demonstrating the irons form.
Further render, demonstrating the from and material finish of the iron.
Further CAD render looking at the detail on the cord and the water tank
Render looking at the front buttons and spray nozzle.
Render looking at the iron in multiple orientations, looking at the sole plate detail and as a final shot
The project challenged us to create a relatively complex form in rhino, which I created and also helped understand CAD and 3D rendering software such as Bunkspeed.
