The design of this poster was kept as fun as possible by exaggerating all the lines to keep the shapes dynamic. The design was required to be printed on red paper since that was all the company had on hand. This limited me to this monochrome design that utilized negative spaces and turned out quite well on the flyers.
I decided to try and teach myself sketchup and after a couple days I had learned enough to make a stab at a ticket booth design I had in mind. The idea came from a local science museum where you had to purchase a ticket for the star show and then go up half a flight of stairs to actually enter the room. I thought it would both save space and look cooler if the booth and stairwell were integrated. It also provided a space above the booth that could be used for display.
This is the poster I designed to advertise for my senior project. I drew inspiration from the ON AIR sign that was a running joke in our performance and backed it with a car and an old style microphone to emphasize the subject matter and classic nature of the performance.
Flyer I made and posted around campus for the laser tag club I founded at UNC Charlotte. Inspiration was drawn from military advertising with camouflage background and stamped style logo.
One of my earlier designs that won second place in a competition for actual use for the Winston-Salem Air Show.
