Part of my application to the Architecture school at UNC Charlotte. The objective was to create a human skeleton with household objects. I used a motherboard for the main skeletal structure, a headlamp for the eyes, battery for the heart, a game controller as the legs, and a flash drive represents the brain with its cord as the nervous system that weaves throughout the body.
In this portrait the entire sheet was shaded and then an eraser was used to create the image in negative space from an example.
Another redactive drawing this time using myself as the subject.
Self Portrait inspired by Chuck Close. Medium was in crayon with each square individually colored.
Inspiration and reproduction work. For the book cover we were given the source image and told to reproduce it as exactly as possible. Our next assignment was to find an art piece to base a furniture design on. I selected a photo "Dusty Light" by Federkiel as my source. From that I integrated both the elegant lines, devastating prop, and deteriorated scenery into a single design.
Timed final in my drawing class. I was given 30 minutes to draw jars of water dangling from a tree and an African mask.
