Wall on top is Layer 1 of clay, while wall number two to the right is the layer number two. Making each layer finer.
Picture showing layer 2 and 3. The third layer been the last finish this time.
Reed has been used as part of the structure, to provide more stability to the walls and so that the mud in layer 2 can be adhered in a better way.

Mexico has always been a place where locals have found the richness of their natural materials. For housing we have been using different clay based materials to builds both walls and floors. This house was made of almost 100% natural and local materials and painted with natural pigments.
