Bio materials and art inspired by nature

Bio materials, pigments made of insects and plants. A cultural heritage in Mexico. South of Mexico used insects as "grana cochinilla" to produce this vital and strong pink color, combining other natural products to preserve its qualities. The mayan blue color is obtained from a plant know as añil.

The rest of the pictures are using a technique called cyanotype using nature as a source of inspiration.
