Cardboard Chair

This chair was designed to celebrate San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art 75th Anniversary.

To highlight the museum’s chair collection, the family programs department contacted me to design a seating apparatus or chair with readily available materials, that could be easily constructed by families.

Reclaimed corrugated cardboard was the main material for being highly recyclable and the design allowed for flat shipping and a modular set of components that would allow easy assembly, disassembly and storage.
