Watching a craftsman use a lathe to make bowls and vases Chris started wondering how he could use this technique for his shoes. Chris searched out a woodworker who was on the cutting edge in his field. The craftsman explained the rules and limitations. Seeing limitations as a chance to expand and push the boundaries Chris developed designs and had the craftsman make his heels. The uppers reflect the sculptural shapes of his heels.
Tornitura is Italian for turning.
