ThinkMusic was a joint venture between New York City’s Pulse Recording Studio and PrimaryWave Music Publishing--a B2B marketplace to licensing music for advertising, movies and television.

I pitched and won the business from Joel Kipnis. I was the conceptual lead (Creative Director), down to production artist (combination of 3D modeler and Photoshop compositor) and hired a developer team to parter for the build.

I came in at the ground floor, and contributed the “big idea” that became our key competitive differentiator--a downloadable application that enabled the client to hear any music from the ThinkMusic catalog, synced with their own video, before committing to license.

The launch of ThinkMusic was covered extensively in the trade press including two full page articles in Billboard magazine. My concept for our downloadable music & video compositor-player app was soon copied by many music licensing competitors in the industry.
