Car decals advertising tourist destinations are pretty ubiquitous now, so using that format for an awareness/fund-raising campaign seems kind of obvious, especially when your destination is the Islet of Langerhans. For those unfamiliar with the pancreas, a QR code could link to a web page explaining the sticker, leading up to a donation solicitation. If viewers don't have a QR scan function on their smartphones - or don't know what they are - a web address provides a fall-back.
This movie poster was designed as part of a contest to promote a particular collaborative novel on the writing site PanHistoria.com. After researching poster formats, I decided on a presentation that promoted the concept of the novel, rather than the characters or individual authors. The introductory text, done in Trajan (the "movie poster font"), explains the genre and setup of the story, which is reflected by the single image. That throne could only be from a fantasy setting (HBO's Game of Thrones, specifically), and the whoopie cushion makes it clear that no one is taking themselves too seriously. The tagline is indicative of the discoveries made by the characters as they journey across different worlds, and the release dates play on the time-travel aspect. The production credits were deliberately blurred out.
This brochure was commissioned by a non-profit foundation after receiving their 501(c) classification. It included their new logo, contact information, Charter excerpts, and mission statement. It was intended to fulfill certain legal disclosure requirements while also being attractive enough to include in fund-raising materials.
