Shadow study for Proposed Convenience food store and 14 flats. This 3d shadow model was used to support the planning application. The models illustrate how the shadows created from the proposed buildings would affect the neighboring area. Each Equinox where shown including four different times throughout the day to get accurate results. Model and shadow properties created using in Google Sketch-Up.

Planning permission was granted for proposed alterations to increase the height of a building to accommodate a Tesco Express along Frinton Road in Holland-on-Sea. This was ‘won’ on the basis of shadow study model evidence which convinced a residential neighbour to drop his objection.
