Cork Phone Case. I decided to experiment with cork pieces and an old phone case to create something that is different to the norm. The idea behind this project was to explore around the idea of personalisation of everyday objects. This project was fun to just get stuck in with the hands on side of design.
Created between February and October 2015, this baby blanket measures 40X40 inches. This project started out as an experimentation of finger knitting and quickly became a project that I fell in love with. The intention of the bright colours of the blanket is make the user relaxed and happy as well as warm.
Originally this product was intended as a child's chair for a Seven year old. He wanted a chair he could hide and sleep in with a whiteboard to practice writing and a cup holder. After I finished this product the client changed his mind and no longer wanted his chair. Therefore I decided to make the chair into something useful that I could use as the chair was gathering dust. I have decided to transform this chair into a large desk tidy where I can store my past design work and design equipment. This is an ongoing project as I can only work on this when I am back home.
Nature inspired mouse designs. Laptop Mouse redesign Project.
Upon testing the size of this concept, I found the mouse design did fit comfortably inside the User's hand. However due to the compact size using the buttons and scroll wheel would have proved to have been difficult. Sketch Modelling, 2015
Solidworks Model. Laptop Mouse Redesign.
By making this concept model bigger the shape of the design changed so the curve at the end is less pronounced than the previous model. This change also meant that if this model were to be manufactured the buttons and scroll wheel would be easy to use. Sketch Modelling, 2015
Logo Designs for a start up Design Consultancy in Bournemouth. This work was part of a project with Bournemouth Universities Design Society. I enjoyed this project experimenting with different shapes and colours.
This is a logo design done for some friends who formed a comedy double act during the first year of university.
Inspiration from this project came from looking at a bunch of keys. I noticed that a majority of people carry USB sticks or torches on their key chains. I realised that more people carry USB sticks on their key chains than torches. As torches are not always a necessity in daily life: they are hard to ind when you actually need them. It seemed like a good idea to combine the two, to become a really useful product that's always easily found when you need it.
