Playforever toys have a strong visual language. Their playful forms and glossy finish ooze fun and demand interaction.
The aim was to create a functional product with these same attributes
Incorporating the split gloss and matt section adds greatly to the Playforever feel. the form tapers in the centre giving instruction on how to hold the sharpener.
Leonardo is produced in ABS in two injection moulded parts costing £1 per unit with a blade insert in the top section.

The brief for this project required a proposal for a pencil sharpener to be made for Playforever, a British based toy company. The product imbues the playful nature of the brand whilst serving the function required of a pencil sharpener.
The product would be injection molded from ABS in 2 parts with the blade being included as an insert during the manufacture of the top section.
