Proposal drawing in Illustrator.
Original concept drawing in SketchUp.
Port bow. Note the "portholes" which allow children to view the specimen from inside.
Lots and lots of plexi work: bending, sawing, flaming, screwing.
A tiny little scuba tank I made from an emptied fire extinguisher. Before it went into the exhibit. a friend used it for his child's Halloween costume.
Steering wheel. Since the ship was "The Discovery," I tried to sneak HAL's red eye into the horn button, but they caught me and made me remove it. Lame.
Porthole close up.
Climb aboard!
gLike
SS Discovery

A small boat kids could climb into/on that was really just an elaborate way to displace aquatic specimen.
