Patent Drawing from US 20140217689 A1 I love when the patent drawings reflect the nuanced balance that I strive toward with my designs. This concept is essentially a repetition of two parts which create a cubic assembly. The tangible version of this is a lot of fun!
Working within supplier capabilities, this was Kohler's reintroduction (since the early 1980s) into portable generators, "Kohler Portable Power."
Orthographic concept sketch of backpack generator. [patent EP 2762702 A1] A backpack portable generator concept image. This concept intends to eliminate the maintenance of multiple engines associated with landscaping, with a single engine driving electric applications. Driving diversity of use, reducing complexity to the user, and reducing cost of individual applications. For consumers, this allows for a more mobile inverter than the "suitcase" style that is common today. This particular image shows a propane powered concept, which aims to address understanding of fuel vs. power X time. Positioning of touch-points, plugs, recoil pull, etc. are inspired by action sports backpacks.
