Ver-Mac is the number one manufacturer of steel H stakes and yard sign hardware. Grimco requested a free-standing display to showcase the hardware in their distribution offices. They requested a floor model as well as a desk-top model. It seemed only natural to design the display using coroplast - the substrate for which the hardware is designed to display. ..:: 3D model created in Rhino 5

Some quick ideation sketches of retail fixtures and how they could be implemented.
While I did not design the creative, I did create the cut-files as well as engineer the lug-ons and their attachment mechanisms.
The "Little People" lug-on is attached by a fold-out "dog-ear" that is in the die file. I did this so that every piece is exactly the same, eliminating the possibility of human error in finishing.
The "fp" logo disc is also mounted with the same type of "dog-ear" mechanism but is die-cut from 20 mil PETG. It is tape mounted to align with markings to clock the logo correctly so that every logo is in the exact same position.
One of the first Wendy's projects I worked on was a series of "Register Toppers" for the Cod Filet sandwich. Al I had to work from were some pretty rough sketches. This first idea was to replicate a seafood display case as you would see at a grocery store.
This piece would have a considerably intricate die-cut & score but would be relatively simple for the store associate to assemble. The header would simply insert into slots as well as the 20 mil clear PETG case with chrome edges.
Fazoli's Triple Chocolate Cheesecake desert "Register Topper": Based off of the Wendy's register toppers, I designed this for Fazoli's deserts. Very simple box with radius header. The cheesecake is just scored and printed paper with tabs at the bottom edges. The folded cheesecake is pushed through a triangular cut-out and taped in place.
