Candy Display Concept - The initial concept direction from the customer was to create a display that would merchandise three 15-pack cases of Mentos candies for a C-Store countertop. Through brain-storming sessions, a wheel assembly was settled on as the carrier mechanism.
Candy Display Prototype 1 - This is the first working prototype that addressed concerns identified in the Mock Up stage. It is smaller in size and eliminates the "box" at the bottom of the base where unwanted candy could be left.
Candy Display Prototype 2 - The clear sides on this prototype add color and interest without adding artwork or printing costs. Replacing the opaque walls also creates the illusion of a smaller display.
Candy Display Prototype 3 - In order to address a retailer concern about labor intensive product reloading, we modified the display to include troughs for holding the product. Each trough holds one layer of product from the case packs. I worked with an outside vendor who produced sample troughs per my specifications. While these modifications solved one challenge, they actually increased the size and cost of the unit.
