Design Brief:
Create a large scale, interactive 3D working model from standard illustrator graphics provided by the agency. Two working days to complete - before use in a P&G sales presentation.
Action:
1. Four main layers of styrene.
2. Sliding graphics panel and track.
3. Metallic slider mechanism and track.
4. Solid back.
15 moving pieces.
30 sliders.
15 pieces of clear vinyl.
69 separate die-cut pieces in total.
First printed everything out on 24 pt stock to test how all the moving parts would actually function and then make any needed revisions before moving on to styrene. Interior sliding parts were made from thinner styrene than their respective tracks to allow easier movement.
