National Nuclear Science Week (NNSW) – in conjunction NT program had a Nuclear Technology ATOM [Advanced Technology Orientation Model) Ribbon-Cutting event on Oct. 21, 2014 in the CBC CCTE Rotunda & lab. Event sponsored by CBC NT program and Foundation, ANS Eastern WA Section, TetraTech, and Energy Northwest.
NT ATOM--a 30-year-old 400-sqft highly-detailed acrylic scale model of a PWR was delivered to the NT program in August by the ANS. The model is being preserved and will remain on display and will serve to advance the education and training of NT students while attracting younger students to nuclear.
