Feelings of fantasy, mystery, and whimsy are intended upon viewing this image. Color is local and yet cooler than natural, to cohere with the shirt color as well as inform the viewer that the destination is perhaps otherworldly. Nevertheless, the position of the trees, the winding course of the stream, and especially the 'open arms' of the portico in front of the palace suggest welcome.
