Starting with a picture of a kneeling soldier, the light and dark values are transposed into the several, predetermined colors of the digital camouflage pattern. Then more of the camouflage pattern is added over the top and edges, until the desired degree of subtlety is achieved. The soldier provides a context for the firearm, which is the obvious focal point for the gun store.

Firing Pin shirt: Camouflage Soldier

On a shirt for a local gun store named The Firing Pin, the design was intended to showcase the firearm while giving it a relevant context. This was produced using four spot colors on a dark, forest green shirt.
