Seismic Clothing is a new approach to wearable robotics we refer to as “Powered Clothing”. The concept is based on patented electric muscle technology that is able to provide augmented Physical Strength to the wearer that reduces user effort by 20%.
Utilizing this technology the Mobi 2.0 suit augments and assists with core and muscularskeletal support to drastically reduce work related injuries in the manual labor sector.
GARMENT SYSTEM FEATURES:
-Single piece main garment-vest bodice/chap legs .
-Rip-stop poly/cotten primary fabric for comfort and durability with zoned powermesh for stretch and breathability.
-Fully lined with “Pure-temp” PCM enabled tricot mesh lining for comfort in all conditions.
-Integrated tunnels for patented electric muscles.
-Pockets for worker tools and ID cards.
-Separate component belt carries electronics hardware and batteries, aligning with the garment via magnetic hardware and centering weight and load of components on hips, similar to a hiking pack.

Final concept directions that led to a final overall concept
Basic Suit function: Don garment, Attach the hardware belt, connect the suit "Multiconnect" to the belt, allowing communication and mechanical connection between the two, power on suit and activate suit muscles.
Belt mounted hip enclosure and "multiconnect" attachment. This houses three motors that run the soft muscles of the suit. The Gold bottom area is the "multi-connect" that lives on the apparel portion of the suit product, and connects into the hip enclosure, connecting the motors to the soft muscles to contract and relax them.
