Winter (Other fellow in our cohort) and myself, ideating at Google
About to get our dance lesson from an instructor from Stanford. This activity encouraged self-exploration and confidence as well as bonding between our group. This was a highlight for me because it challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone and be more extroverted.
Group picture of the UIF Fam at google. Here we heard from great guest speakers and learned about team building as well as ideation.
Showing an activity where participants role played various team scenarios and demonstrated ways to better handle situations and be a better team member.

Univeristy Innovation Fellows Meetup

In November 2017, I completed training to become a University Innovation Fellow and attended a global meetup at Standford University's D.School. To gain this fellowship I completed 8 weeks of training that involved design thinking practices and ideation. I then identified opportunities to improve the educational experience at OU and engaged with senior leaders to pitch these new ideas that included Peer-to-Peer ideation workshops and a mandatory Freshman course focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. Following training, I served as a mentor to the successive cohort, secured support from the Center for Entrepreneurship, and created an application process to screen new applicants for the Innovation Fellow program.
