"Esplosione in fiore" (1-FLOWER EXPLOSION (cm 60x80 - oil painting on cotton canvas, year 2018) "The birth of a flower that opens up in my imagination" I imagined a flower that could be the result of imagination or a dream. It comes from an explosion of colours, perhaps not present in nature, which however blend and mix harmoniously, giving shape to the flower, its petals and parts of the stems. I would like to celebrate colour, happiness and light-heartedness and I have also used many shades of blue-celestial because the flower could also be part of the marine flora…I leave free interpretation to whoever observes it.
"Fiori di luce" (flowers of light, cm 60x80 - pearly and glossy carved leather on cotton canvas, oil base, year 2020) "The light that cuts, shapes and changes reality" I wanted to make the leather, a living and malleable element, part of this work by carving it in order with its geometric fragments I could create an almost Japanese-style floral motif. The light that radiates from the various elements will never be the same and the image will change shape and color depending on the observation point and perspective. It is a non-static picture and I wanted to convey that special effects can be obtained even with the simplicity and cleanliness of the lines.
"Le éveil du printemps" ("The Spring Awakening " ) In this painting I wanted to recreate spring seen through the eyes of a child, even though I was 20 at the time. Naïve, non-existent landscape, with real insects that blend into these lines of continuity. I loved this picture very much and I can still appreciate it even if it is very old.
"Primavera 2020" (Spring 2020) I painted this woman, inspired by the beautiful model Gigi Hadid's face, to celebrate the magnificence of Spring even in dark times like these. Hope, beauty and freedom (the butterfly) must always be part of our life otherwise it will be the end. The sun is tenuous, almost shy, and spring is still pale but open to summer and to enjoy the first warm rays that gently illuminate her.
"Rose d'autunno" (fall roses) Roses that lose their petals at the end of the season are not destined to die, because after autumn there will be winter and a new life cycle. These potted roses are unfortunately destined to die before the others, because they are cut, but with the aim of creating beauty and a touch of color around us before winter hibernation.
"Sogno" Dream. Abstract representation of a dream, full of colours, shapes and geometries
