Foyer Design: the Simmons Home
Using principles of feng shui and human-centric lighting design, the pieces selected for this home celebrate and simulate the textures, materials, and sensations experienced in the natural world. The foyer is particularly important in feng shui as it is considered the mouth of chi: a kind of portal to something magical. Because this room faces north, I used the energy of K’an to inform this design. K’an is associated with deep water and the colors black and blue.
