Flat Pack Chair

Created from a singular sheet of Plywood (2440mm x 1220mm x 12mm) this chair requires ZERO joinery methods such as screws or dowels. Instead, a slotting mechanism is used for a quick and easy assembly/disassembly.
The seat and back of the chair have been designed to have some flexibility, using a curve bending method, when sat on to provide a comfortable seat.
The sides of the chair are double the thickness to ensure structural integrity and strength to accommodate most weights.
Structural beams are used along the base to increase strength. They are also set at a height that allows those of a smaller stature to rest their feet comfortably.
This is a University Project created during my second year. Any comments or feedback are welcomed.
