This is the first draft of the concept art level, the method was a "rapid" concept where I have challenged myself to draw a rough sketch of a level within 10 minutes. The tidy and professional version is fiished and is viable in this folder. The updated version shows the improvements and evolution of the concept's idea.
As stated in the "rapid" concept art image, this is the profsinal version of the oncept art, I have added more assets to replicate a military base, it is going to be a level that is about 3D design and engineering in the military. This replicates the final visual idea and is inspired by Olly Moss' concept art in "Firewatch".
The environment of this level is in the hospital, The player will be placed behind the window of the theatre room. I have then decided the game will be a point and click side-scroller, this is because that the project is supposed to be an interactive menu, so I have decided to allow the player to select any assets in the game to unveil more detail about the topic for this environment. The topic for this environment is about 3D Art and Animation, the hospital demonstrates how tools and artificial implants can be pronted and how surgeries are animated with possible outcomes whether the surgeon makes a fault/mistake or not.
This is the finalised design of my character, I felt that the tones and white lines surrounding his appendages made the character look too jaggered, weak and tacky. So I have started again with the similar design but made the character matched the shading so the not so visible side of the character is a darker shade, removed the lines that divides the arms and legs so they blend in together and changed the shading of the colours to a darker and washed shade to make the character more true to the vibrancy and tones of the levels.

Concept art for HCI

This is concept art for my next particle project at Gateshead College, the project is to make an HCI, an interactive media user interface which is like a professional menu for informative comtent. I'm turning the HCI into a side-scroller game, and the art style is inspired by Olly Moss. I wanted to potray the simplistic vibrant art style to give the HCI an artistic identity. The character is the layout of Moss' silhouette but with colour and the level design is influenced by the artist's version of the poster for the film "There Will Be Blood".
