Yaxcopoil means the place of the green Alamo Trees in Mayan.
This Hacienda represents the history of three great periods in Yucatan, Mexico the pre-Columbian, the spanish colonial and the years of abundant Henequen cultivation, late 19th & 20th century.
Operated first as a cattle ranch then as a henequen plantation. It has been maintained in its original condition. The Milan castle architecture has moorish influence. The double archway representing royalty.
