Balance_table - This table creates a different interaction with the user; as if something heavy is placed on top it allows the metal to move, although only slightly. The aim was to change a static object, into one that would react to the user.
This was created during a one week metal workshop. I wanted to use this time to create a simple, yet playful item. The experiment also allowed me to experiment with different thicknesses and strengths of metal for the connecting central structure.
Paravent _Screen - I focused this project on the use of natural woolen felt, which is a renewable material, produced locally in France.
The <Paravent> allows light through, yet still creates a divide between people and spaces. It utilizes the thermal and acoustic qualities of the felt. Whilst adding a structural element, which the felt does not possess naturally, through the addition of natural starch.

Diverge - The concept aimed to bend the street environment to make the invisible possibilities visible. The aim of the Diverge seating range gives people the knowledge that there will always be somewhere to have a quick rest in order to gain breath, have a slightly longer break or simply to stop and watch the world go by.
This project mixes both an awareness of space, alongside practical furniture solutions.

The hope is that by visualising an aspect of the day, which often goes unseen, it could create a different kind of attachment with the user. The second aspect is that the alarm tune, also changes over time depending on the users reactions. This affects both the melody and the intensity at which the alarm plays.

Self Build - Build Self - The aim of this package was to find a compelling form of communication that could be both informative and inspiring to people that were considering building a house.
The <Self-Build-Build Self> Jigsaw is designed to guide one through the steps that must be taken when completing a self build. While the jigsaw displays the basic steps, it is designed to be used alongside the riddle book which gives the user more knowledge of the process.
