Cobb County Pedestrian Bridge
This was a proposal for the Cobb County pedestrian bridge that connected the Galleria with the new Brave's development. The bridge spans over I-285 and accommodates both pedestrians and transit alike. Two concepts were proposed including a double decker truss with pedestrians above and transit below along with a single level stress ribbon bridge. The former concept was our lead proposal and focused on providing a dramatically different experience depending on the travel direction due to the manner in which the truss' panels open and close. Moving toward Brave's stadium the panels are open allowing views outward, however, due to the overlap of the panels the path back appears closed off.
