Double sided Spirit of Christmas program. Sketched figures with pencil, scanned then did the composition of the image in Photoshop and the text layout in InDesign on Mac OS - As with many of these designs, there were several spin off print/digital needs for this [Posters, banners, push cards, in-house print and digital ads, web ads, social media ads, etc]
Spirit of Christmas 2017 double sided program - we purchased tracts that we attached to this side of the program and participants were encouraged to take it with them. Figures were created in Illustrator, basic comp created in Photoshop, final print file created in InDesign. [Again, there were many additional print/digital resources created with this event's look.]

Summer Worship Series 20x30 poster for 2019 - Photos were either submitted to us by the guys or I found them online. I did some photo manipulation to put some of them into suits... this is the third year I've done that and the powers that be seem plenty happy with the results. [Again, this is something that we did multiple signs, print ads, digital ads for.]
Awaken mark and ads - Annual summer worship series happens at FBCZ in July - we went through several different ideas since the awaken concept can be really broad. We settled on this look. Font is "Adam CG Pro" from 1001fonts.com - created the brand in Illustrator, comp-ed the slides and other resources that were needed in Photoshop CC on Mac OS.
One of the many assets I designed for the Awaken series - I wrote the copy for the campaign as well. This layout was for a newspaper ad we placed and it shows the basic design elements I used for the banners and other in-house ads.
Type treatment and promos for Going Deeper weekend using my favorite font family: Avenir Next Condensed.

Promo slide for volunteers - got to collaborate with the children's minister on the copy and he forwarded the image for me to adapt to our purposes.
Cut vinyl - Worship Ministry's yearly theme 2017 -
Minister provided the theme and asked me to be creative - this is the main "mark" - the main design had many circles of varying sizes crowding this central one. Main elements created in Illustrator CC and final composition for posters, etc finished in Photoshop.

Sermon Title Slides - This is the social media image from the set. This photo collage was created from various sources and some photos taken by a staff member. I helped the speaker narrow down his theme/title and worked a few angles on the imagery until we arrived at something we were both happy with. It was a little out of our comfort zones, but it worked well for the series.

Sermon Title Slide - main sermon illustration was that we are to bring our best to God. A 2 or 3 year old brings his daddy a plastic donut and it means something, not so much if a 16 year old brings that same donut.
This was created in Photoshop CC on Mac OS [Feb 2018]. Our new communications director experimented with taking the photo of the donut on a green screen stage so there seemed a lot of color correcting to do. Fonts: Challista Script, Avenir Next Condensed, Andale Mono.

Hunger Games Themed Easter Retreat Ad [An older design I still love.]
Fonts: "Hunger Games" from dafont.com and "Biondi". The arrow image is a lapel pin I found on etsy.
We did tshirts with this design too and our screen printer out-did themselves - turned out great.

True Love Waits - students do this every year in February. This is the design from 2014. I adapted the character from a wallpaper image I saw online then did the type treatment. (Character sketch was digitized in Illustrator, layout done in Photoshop; Windows 7 OS)

Flash CS4 roller coaster animation
Thought I'd brush off my flash skills a little and make some moving stuffs this summer. Got the roller coaster vector at all-free-downloads.com and the VBS logo is copyrighted by Lifeway - so the only thing I really did was the layout and the animation on this.
"Back to the Manger" children's choir t-shirt design - this was one of the pieces that I presented to encouraged my new employer to provide the tools necessary for designing. This one I composed in some super old version of painter and Windows 98 because that's what they had at the time. It took two or three times as long as It should've taken since I had just come from a job where I designed on a Mac OS and used the standard Adobe programs.
