City Showdown - Skate Contest Poster
Face To Face, Poster, Trocadero 2009 -
This is a poster design I created for the classic Southern California punk rock band Face To Face. I've always loved these guys, specifically they and a hand full of bands really embody the California punk rock "sound" I love so much so, I've created a poster that speaks the same language, only visually.
The Bouncing Souls, Poster, Trocadero 2009 - This is a poster I created for the Bouncing Souls 20th Anniversary world tour stop in Philadelphia at the Trocadero. This poster features two dates with very different and amazing opening acts, therefore I created a "Two up" style design & print. I hand pulled a limited edition of 50 screen prints of this and as a nice measure of detail (and because the Soul's are SO f'n worth it) I hand perforated each one of these! 3 colors- Golden Yellow, Teal Blue, Blood Red on 19"x25" Cougar 100lb Cover.
Fuzzstock, Poster, 2009 - This is a poster design I created for the 2009 Fuzzstock Arts & Music Fesitval in New Hope, PA. This features the classic no.40 steam locomotive that still runs in New Hope to this day. This design is also the first time I've implemented the shading/coloring method you see here (overlapping lines of varying depth and hues.) To make this work "on paper" I hand pulled a 3 layer screen print with the first two layers being split fountains followed by black line art to make everything really pop.
The Gaslight Anthem, Poster, Trocadero 2009 - If u haven't heard the Gaslight Anthem - do so now. They made arguably the best album of 2008- "The '59 Sound" and are HANDS DOWN one of the best live shows I have ever seen... this band is the real deal, cant wait to see what comes next from these guys.
For this print I did a 3 color screen print on Light Blue paper. Semi-opaque White, transparent Red-ish Orange, and transparent Dark Grey. Check out my process section to see how I arrived at this final result.
Alkaline Trio Poster - Here is a poster I created for the Alkaline Trio show at The Trocadero, here in Philly. Signed, Numbered Run of 100! 3 color print on 19"x25" bright white 100lb cover stock. Most of the prints are red/black/glow and there are about 3-4 variants (about 10 or so each). You can see the process for this poster in my PROCESS & DRAWINGS section...
The Thermals 3-D Poster - This is an honest to gosh 3-D poster I created for the Thermals show at Johnny Brenda's here in Phily (three more cheers for r5 for throwing great shows!!) This poster is a two color print on 19"x 25" bright white 80lb cover stock... Each print ALSO comes with a pair of hand held 3-D glasses for optimal viewing! "Welcome to the future".
