Reed Magazine

I designed this 169-page 2012 issue of Reed Magazine in its entirety, from the jacket to its text. Shown here are selections from within.

Published annually, San José State University's Reed Magazine features fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and art, as well as interviews and profiles on notable Silicon Valley authors. Reed is a student-run literary journal, and proud sponsor of the Steinbeck Award for fiction, the Markham Poetry Prize, and the Gabriele Rico Creative Nonfiction Challenge. Previous issues have included work by Joyce Carol Oates, Erica Goss, Michael Ernest Sweet, and Samuel Maio. First published as The Normal Pennant in 1898, Reed is one of the oldest literary journals west of the Mississippi River.
